Photographic Producer

Job Title: Photographic Producer (full time)
Reporting to: Photographic Director
Role Summary
Plan, co-ordinate and deliver photographic production on each issue of AnOther Magazine
Desired Skills & Experience
- Proactive and organised producer with 2+ years of experience in production
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure, handling multiple projects in an often fast paced environment
- Calm, polite and flexible approach
- Happy working as part of a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with confidence
- Interest in fashion/photography/styling/creative industries
- Strong existing network of contacts within the industry and experience booking suppliers
- Previous experience working in a photo agency or at a print publication beneficial
Duties, responsibilities & deliverables:
- Participate in internal creative meetings with the AnOther team (Photo, Fashion, Editorial) in establishing plans for each issue
- Working directly with the Photographic Director on production for shoots, and with external production teams to bring shoots to fruition
- Daily production calls with Photographic Director
- Assisting in keeping the databases, photo budget and issue list up to date, in collaboration with the Photographic Director and Editor
- Collaborate with AnOther team members on research for each issue, including overseeing the purchase of reference materials, creating PDF’s, and compiling creative decks
- Ensuring a smooth and regular flow of information between external creative teams and the AnOther team (options updates, model/location/creative etc)
- Maintaining the casting board for each issue - regularly updating and circulating to external teams, to avoid repeat model bookings
- Responsible for passing invoices to Accounts and logging details within the Budget
- Ensuring that the Budget is correct, and immediately updated (in collaboration with Photographic Director)
Shoot production
- Managing portraiture shoots for each issue (full production)
- Potential to manage a few fashion shoots for each issue (full production)
- Optioning teams for shoots, as required (including: beauty, set, casting directors)
- Organising locations/studios/photographic kit/styling equipment hire
- Arranging shoot transfers for teams (particularly booking cars to and from set for Fashion Director, Fashion Editor, Fashion Assistants)
- Liaising with AnOther Talent Bookings Editor for specific details relating to cover shoots (talent sizes/rider/transportation/additional requirements etc)
- Communicating external teams creative intentions and casting preferences - always in writing to the AnOther team, for internal sign-off
- Creating call sheets and ensuring draft call sheets from external teams are received, reviewed and approved by Photographic Director before being circulated to wider teams
- On set production, as required
Post production
- Downloading and saving all LR and HR images and edits that are received from photographers
- Ensuring receipt of the correct HR files (checking formats + crops) - confirming this in writing with Art Director, Design Director, Photographic Director
- Working with the Print Production Manager, Art Director and Design Director to transfer images, edits and layouts internally
- Gathering text credits from contributors relating to each shoot and ensuring that the AnOther Copy-Writer/ Editor has the correct details, feeding back any alterations
- Sign off layouts in collaboration with the AnOther team, prior to going to print
- Compiling distribution lists (photo/styling/model/talent/PR agencies) to share with the Distributions Manager to ensure that all copies are sent out to relevant teams
- Managing send out of copies of each new issue to all contributors
