Role summary
Dazed Media is looking for a talented and versatile mid-weight Digital and UX Designer to join our digital development team in London. This is a key creative role, focused on delivering engaging and intelligent design across our membership product, digital platforms, and commercial projects.
You’ll work across key parts of our digital ecosystem – from shaping our membership experience to crafting high-impact design for editorial and brand campaigns. Working closely with developers, art directors, and commercial stakeholders, you’ll be instrumental in enhancing the visual identity and usability of Dazed’s online presence.
This position reports to the Technical Director and requires at least two days a week in our London office (EC1A).
Your role
This is an equal split between:
- Designing and optimising Dazed Club, our membership product, using UX thinking, user feedback, and iteration to deliver an experience that’s intuitive, engaging and aligned with editorial and business goals.
- Designing for digital platforms and commercial projects, including bespoke campaigns, branded content executions, and evolutions to our site architecture and layout.
What you'll do
Create polished, user-first digital designs across our web and app platforms.
Design and iterate on features and user journeys for Dazed Club, our membership product.
Develop UX and UI for commercial digital campaigns, ensuring brand alignment and audience impact.
Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented faithfully and functionally.
Work with art directors, creative leads, and product stakeholders to align design with broader brand and business strategy.
Leverage analytics, testing, and feedback to guide decision-making and continuous improvement.
Contribute to Dazed Media’s design system, ensuring cohesion, accessibility, and adaptability.
What we're looking for
A portfolio that showcases sharp, considered digital work across editorial, product, and/or campaigns.
Experience designing for various web platforms including online publishers, digital campaigns, and ideally, membership or subscription-based products.
Strong UX and UI skills, with the ability to work from concept to delivery.
Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite and other design and prototyping tools.
Comfortable working across multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to analyse performance, conduct competitor research, and use testing tools to inform decisions.
A strong visual eye, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for design that pushes boundaries.
